Someone has blessed me with a subscription to American Photo magazine. Whoever you are I LOVE YOU. You may or may not read this blog, but if you do, I thank you. You have made a tough week a little bit brighter.

Shua and I spent the day yesterday showering Karl with as much love as we could to celebrate her birthday. We picked her up at 7:30 and headed on our way. She had no idea where we were going. We ended in Watkinsville, GA at a place that is to bring Karla her birthday present. You see Karl loves Project Runway. She is addicted and since watching the show has become obsessed with fashion. So awaiting us in Watkinsville, GA was a designer who is going to create a one of a kind specialty skirt for Karla. And in the process I think that our designer, Maria, is going to become a good friend of ours. We're only in part one of the process...there's still a prototype sitting and some others as well. The rest of the day we spent roaming around Athens. And that was what it was all about...part of my family. We're just comfortable together and love being with one another. And I love being with them.

I've noticed that I have become a creature of habit. I love the constants in my life. I love knowing that on certain days I have certain things planned without having to continually check to make sure. Take for instance Wednesdays. I know that every Wednesday Ken, Meg, Gardner, Karl, Shua, and myself are going to have dinner and watch LOST. It's a given. None of us have to ask anymore we just do it. And it's situations and times like that, that it feels like family.

Just got back in from the ATL. Dang! That's all I have to say. Let's just say that Lee is going to pee his pants when the day comes. Candice, Shua, and I spent a good 2 hours at Eleven50 taking some bridal shots. What a God thing the whole afternoon was. I mean have you ever heard of a club opening up for 3 20-somethings to frolic about at will...completely free? Oh and hey, while we're at it, let's just throw in a free VIP pass. What?

I just got back from the Pickin' Parlor. It's a little bluegrass joint on the way into Williamston. I went by myself. I had a chance to just sit and think as I watched these beautiful people do what they love. There were probably 6 people in the audience, myself included. Not success by the world's standard, but success in their world.

So, last night Shua and I wound up in Clemson at the Mellow Mushroom. We went there(Campus Camera) for film, but the store was closed and we decided the pizza was the next best thing. The next best thing turned into the best and most engaging and entertaining conversation in a while for me. I mean dreams and "emastication" that's where its at. Perhaps even with two turntables and a microphone.
