It's been rainy and as most of you know, rainy = Lanna being really happy. I love the crisp rain air. And yes, I did go to a rodeo this weekend. It was in honor of the lovely Kylie Yerka's birthday. It was pixie-ish and all was right with the world.

And now for those in the romantic mood, here's "Eloping Done Right". Sigh. Jamie is an amazing photographer and as you will see has an exquisite family.

By the way, has anybody seen where the winter went to? My winter clothes are feeling left out...

Dear Diary,

Look Ma!

Yesterday was awesome! I went to my very first rodeo. Not only were there lots of cute cowboys, but I also rode a bull. I've attached a picture of me on the bull for proof. His name was Oreo and he's like a gazillion years old. Isn't it funny how if you look at his ears long enough, they start to look really weird. I mean they don't look like they belong. His horns are where his ears should be. Like weird. Anyway, I've got to like totally be going. I'll write again soon...promise.

Laterz,
Lan.

Fish.

Soaring

Last Friday, I had the joy of the Georgia Aquarium. It was mezmerizing and ethereal. To be honest, my eyes welled up with tears more than once and goosebumps welled on my arms as if I were in some hyperborean region. It is beyond words. In the stillness of my head and the amazing creativity of these animals I was overwhelmed by their praise. In the way that they are made and they way that they move, they scream out in praise of their Creator. It took my breath away. I always love being surprised by a little romance.

You can see a set of photos that I took from the Aquarium here.

And now, in other fish news, I am sad to report that Daisy the Wonderfish (see The Tale of the Fish) has finally passed. Congrats Daisy, I think you might have lived the longest that a 12cent fish ever has.

A lot has happened since we last talked, I saw Susan Tedeschi and The Derek Trucks Band and was blown away by both. We rang in the New Year in pure crew style (you can see pictures here and here). I've decided that Ireland will be my out of the country destination for the year. And tonight, I'll be watching one of my favorite movies, The Princess and the Warrior. Tomorrow, I'm treating myself to the Georgia Aquarium (they have a WHALE, you know).
