1. The Jockey Lot. I must say it was a successful morning. While I came away with no books, I did find a mini-tripod for $5. And I got to see a hot air balloon crash into a tree. The strangest thing was it happened in slow motion...luckily everyone was okay. But there you go. FACT: You can see anything at the jockey lot.

There's a huge window in the office and on the other side of the parking lot there's a huge field. I can see a good portion of the field from where I stand. I find myself there for minutes at a time, just watching. And there are days like today when the wind is blowing with a fierceness that takes your breath away. And there are horses too. They can feel the electricity. And it's not just electricity. Today it's clear that everything is doing what it is supposed to do. They're crying out to their Maker. And at that moment, I felt so unbelievably small. And I knew that even if I weren't standing there, all in my vision would still be giving praise to the God that created it. All because He is who He says He is. He is Truth. He is constant.

Do you know why hugs are so great? It takes only 20 seconds of contact for your brain to release mood lifting hormones. And why the crap do I feel a little better after a good cup of coffee? Apparently, caffeine can improve your mood for 2 to 6 hours (although I'm not too stoked about caffeine's other affects on my body...so perhaps I'll stay away). And did you know that 85 percent of women say they feel better after a good cry? Moreover the average woman has five crying spells per month (hmm...i don't cry that much. I might have a crying spell once every five months. Maybe I should watch more chick flicks.).

UNLEASH was amazing. I had a ton of fun and got to meet many amazing people. Plus I got the added bonus of photographing the event. I had fun. Some photos are on flickr.

With temperatures rising at over 80 degrees yesterday. I realized that Spring is coming whether I'm ready or not. And although we barely had a winter (I promise I'm not bitter...much), I'm accepting that it's time for that Spring Thang. And somewhere between the summer songs of "Sweet Emotion" - Aerosmith and "Get Ready" - Rare Earth, I said "bring it on Spring!" "You will not thwart me with your pollen. Your humid itsreallyhardtobreathe heat has no effect on me. This is my year, Spring. This is where I take you down!"

I just bought a huge lot of 120 film on eBay. I'm excited. I'm also excited that I have 3 rolls of film taken with Ivan (the Mamiya c330, yes I named him...back off), waiting to be developed.
