Matchlights.

Tonight is the CD release for my good friend, Lee McDerment's album. Back in the fall he asked me to come to the studio and take some pictures for the album. I was awed by the work that God was doing in him and through him. Listening to this music that God had given him...was completely amazing. It was just one of those moments when you just sit back and think, "I'm witnessing something really great." And I remembered a conversation that a group of us had (probably after a birthday dinner) where we were talking about goals for the upcoming year. Lee's was always, "I'd like to record an album." So, sitting in the studio and taking photographs, I realized that this just wasn't Lee's goal, but it was a passion and a vision that God had placed within him.

I've had a chance to chew on the CD for the past week. I haven't taken it out of the CD player in my car. It hasn't gotten old. It's gotten better. It's changed the way I worship. It's pure. It brings glory to God. And I'm amazed that I got to be a part of it.

Lee, you did a good job my friend. I am so very proud of you. Thank you for letting God use you.

Woo!
