I'll never be able to sleep again.

I just finished watching The Descent. And it scared the beejeezies out of me and I almost peed my pants. You know I like my horror flicks every now and again. Most are predictable and you know when somethings going to happen. You work yourself up and wait for the music to scare you more than the actual story. But definitely not the case with this british flick. I was not prepared. I literally screamed out loud at least twice. The rest of the time was spent covering my mouth to not let out an audible squeel. It hit a little close to home...you know...I have been spelunking before...I have been in the belly of the cave...and I couldn't see beyond the light stream on my head...what if something was lurking in the dark where I couldn't see!

It was fun.

But I don't think I'll ever be able to sleep without the light on again.

Meerkat Manor.

Meerkat Manor., originally uploaded by Lanna Grace.

I got a big girl bed this weekend. I've been sleeping on a twin day bed since middle school and I was dadgum tired of it. So, I saved and searched. I found a sweet headboard at one of our thrift stores here in town and refinished it. And I upgraded to a queen. Throw on a down comforter and its perfection. I just need to perfect the sleep that goes along with it. Last night it was 4am before I finally drifted off...

p.s. Meerkats are awesome. I could watch them all day. My parents had to drag me away from the exhibit at Riverbanks.

A New Day...

Beak., originally uploaded by Lanna Grace.

...or a very late post. So, I've been thinking about the photoblog thing with a few thoughts here and there. Let me know what you think.

In other news, I haven't been sleeping that well. I've probably had about 60 hours sleep total in the past week and a half...which is a little less than half of what I should have had. I welcome any home remedies that anyone has. Yes, I've tried the warm bath, warm milk, soft music, counting sleeping sheep...not working. Perhaps the birds in my head are fighting too much.
